Tovey Introduces Their TSCS Transducer Simulator Calibration System
Published by Cyndi Rude – January 19, 2017
A transducer simulator is normally used to calibrate indicators, but occasionally it too needs to be calibrated. Tovey Engineering has developed a system for calibrating transducer simulators that is used in-house. This system features some pretty high-end electronics to determine the reference values of the ratiometric output at each of the different simulator settings. The system is fully automatic and can be operated while doing other tasks since the calibration procedure usually requires several hours.
Once a calibration has been completed, the system normalizes the data and calculates the deviation from the simulators nominal value. The system performs all set-ups of the multimeter, ensuring reliable and repeatable results.
