- Milliamp (mA) & Loop: Models like the PIE 334 and 434 source and measure 4-20 mA signals. Advanced models can also handle 10-50 mA loops common in nuclear plants.
- Temperature (RTD & Thermocouple): Devices like the PIE 525B can source and measure up to 12 RTD and 14 thermocouple types. They feature automatic detection of 2, 3, and 4-wire RTD configurations.
- Voltage & Frequency: Used for checking power supplies, analog outputs, and frequency-based devices like turbine meters or tachometers.
- Multifunction: The PIE 820, 830, and 850 series combine multiple functions (mA, V, T/C, RTD, Hz, and Pressure) into one handheld unit to reduce the number of tools a technician needs to carry.
